Rob Astorino is an American politician, radio producer, and television host. A Republican, he has served as Member of the Westchester County Board of Legislators, from January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2004, and County Executive of Westchester County, from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2017.

Rob is the son of Theresa and Robert Astorino. He is married to Sheila McCloskey, with whom he has three children.

Rob’s paternal grandfather was Pasquale “Patsy” Astorino (the son of Tommaso Astorino). Tommaso was the son of Antonio Astorino and Brigida Cosentino. The Astorino family was from Taverna, Province of Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy.

Rob’s paternal grandmother was named Marjorie Platt (the daughter of Harley/Harvey Platt and Fanny/Fannie). Marjorie was born in New York, to Russian Jewish parents.

Two of Rob’s maternal great-grandparents were Orazio Cutrone (the son of Michele Cutrone and Teodora), who was born, c. 1880, in Palo del Colle, Province of Bari, Apulia, Italy, and Agata Savarese, who likely was born, c. 1889, in Binetto, also in Province of Bari.
