Lady Gaga Ends Engagement With Fianc Christian Carino What Went Wrong?

It is official. Lady Gaga has ended her engagement to Christian Carino. Her rep confirmed the news today that after two years of dating and less than six months of being engaged, the couple has gone their separate ways.

A little over one week ago, the A Star Is Born actress sparked rumors there was trouble in paradise when she was spotted at the Grammy Awards sans her engagement ring, and Carino was nowhere to be found. It was a big night for Lady Gaga, so that fact that her fiancé was not in attendance certainly raised eyebrows.

Although at the time a source told E! News that the superstar was not wearing her massive pink sapphire ring due to performing that evening, it didn’t stop fans from speculating that the singer was once again single. Turns out there was a whole lot of truth to those rumors.

“It just didn’t work out. Relationships sometimes end. There’s no long dramatic story,” a source close to the singer shared with People magazine after reps confirmed the split.

Lady Gaga has not spoken out about calling off her engagement to Carino. She is gearing up for her first live TV performance with her friend, and A Star Is Born costar Bradley Cooper. They will perform ‘Shallow’ at the Academy Awards this Sunday. The film has been nominated for seven awards, including acting nods for Cooper, Lady Gaga and Sam Elliott.

Her career is on fire with the success of A Star Is Born. The singer’s incredible acting talent took many by surprise. She has not yet brought home an award for acting in the film. However, the movie’s breakout song ‘Shallow’ has earned the 32-year-old several honors, including a Grammy and Golden Globe.

Unfortunately, her personal life is once again in shambles. Lady Gaga and fiancé Christian Carino calling off their engagement marks another failed relationship for the blonde beauty. She has no problem finding romance and has been linked to several high-profile men, but for some reason, the actress can’t find her happily ever after.  In her Five Foot Two documentary on Netflix, Lady Gaga alluded to her career having a dramatic impact on her previous three relationships.

“I sold 10 million (records) and lost Matt. I sold 30 million and lost Luke. I did a movie and lose Taylor. It’s like a turnover. This is the third time I’ve had my heart broken like this,” the singer revealed in the film.
