Does Emma Chamberlain Have TikTok?

Emma Chamberlain is an incredibly successful American internet personality who has won awards, participated in numerous business ventures, claimed spots on ‘The New York Times’ lists, and earned herself millions of followers. Her online home is on YouTube, but does she ever vacation to TikTok?

Emma Chamberlain has an active TikTok account that boasts millions of followers and her content has garnered hundreds of millions of likes. Though TikTok is Emma’s “passion” today, it wasn’t always that way and she was once “weirdly against it”.

These days Emma can be found on TikTok, where she has millions of followers, but that wasn’t always the case. For a full look at Emma’s time on TikTok, why she disliked it, what content she makes, who her favorite creators are, how long she spends on the platform, and more, keep reading.

Emma Chamberlain’s Time on TikTok

Despite only posting her first-ever TikTok video in October of 2019, Emma has been on the platform since its inception. She and her friend group joined Musical.ly as a joke back in early 2018.

Once the merger was complete and Musical.ly morphed into TikTok, Emma wasn’t sold. She said “I tried it out, it didn’t really click for me, couldn’t really figure out how to make content on it…So I took a break because I didn’t really see how I could use this and have fun on it.”

Of course, TikTok blew up and it seemed that everyone was on the platform. But not Emma, who admitted, “I refused to get on it because I was weirdly against it for some reason.”

Evidently, her aversion to the platform didn’t stick and back in 2019, she was spending roughly 15 hours a week on the platform.

Emma revealed “I was a huge hater of TikTok, I did not get it and I’m sorry, I’ve changed. I love it, and now I think it’s my passion, not making them, but watching them.”

Emma’s favorite genre of videos on TikTok is the dancing genre. She likens the videos to ASMR and claims that they have a soothing effect on her, especially before she goes to bed at night.

For as much time as she spends creating TikTok content, she spends double that watching other creator’s content. Some of her favorite TikTok creators are Faux Shmoe, Fibulaa, Lady Efron, Skincare By Hyram, Jeremy Scheck Cooks, Tabitha Brown, and Brittany Brokski.

Emma Chamberlain’s TikTok Content

Emma’s primary platform is YouTube, which she describes as her “go-to” and a place where “conversation is involved”. On the other side of the social media scale, Instagram is “strictly for me getting to put on my outfits and post them”.

But when it comes to TikTok, Emma doesn’t follow any kind of content guidelines. When speaking to Variety, she said “And then with TikTok, it’s just no rules. Who even knows what I’m doing. It’s just fun and chill. It’s not a source of income for me, it’s just something I do for fun.”

So what kind of content does Emma create when there are no rules to adhere to? Emma mainly posts dancing videos, OOTDs, random silent videos, and the occasional duet.

Emma Chamberlain’s Social Media Stats

Emma has over 9 million followers on TikTok and, on average, she gains 6 667 new followers every single day. According to Social Blade, the authentic influencer is the 440th most followed creator on the app.

It’s undoubtedly impressive that Emma has garnered so many followers in her short time on the app. But despite Emma’s incredible growth on the platform, she continues to focus on uploading long-form content to her YouTube channel.

On YouTube, Emma uploads a video at least once a week and usually gains 4 660 new subscribers for doing so. The social media sensation earns between USD $246 to $3 900 every day on YouTube, regardless of whether she posted content that day or not.

With her yearly earnings estimated to be between USD $88 400 and $1.4 million, it’s easy to see why Emma puts all of her energy into uploading content to her YouTube channel.

Over on her Instagram, Emma has a whopping 12.7 million followers that grow by 7 310 followers each day and has a 25% engagement rate. To put that statement into context, Kim Kardashian has a 9% engagement rate.
